Abstract

The study addressed the topic of digital transformation in strengthening companies and educational institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as major technological changes have posed a major challenge to countries around the world. The main problem of the study revolves around the requirements that support the construction of digital transformation systems and the effectiveness of digital transformation in contributing to achieving the sustainable development process in educational institutions. The study aimed to identify the most important requirements for working towards digital transformation in institutions, work to provide a suitable environment for the required change from traditional work to digital work, focus on the potential impacts that may face government and private entities during the implementation of digital transformation strategies, and analyze the experience of educational institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the Corona pandemic. The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and relied on the “Qiyas 2023” report, which represents a continuation of previous measurements conducted by the Digital Government Authority in recent years. Information was also collected by reviewing previous studies, in addition to using quantitative analysis to measure the extent of digital transformation implementation in institutions. The study concluded that digital transformation contributed significantly to providing services in a digital and easy-to-access form, which positively reflected on the efficiency of institutional work and the ease of access to them. Digital transformation processes in many countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have contributed to overcoming Regarding the challenges faced in providing services to citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic, the study recommended the need to increase projects that serve the Kingdom's digital transformation project and intensify institutions' use of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies to create technology projects that effectively serve their work.
