Abstract

The study aimed to identify the causes and repercussions of overlapping powers in the management of power generation plants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to reveal the existence of statistically significant differences in the causes and repercussions of overlapping powers in the management of power generation plants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attributed to the study variables. The descriptive approach was used as a study methodology. The study population consisted of all workers and officials in the electricity generation sector in the western and central regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The simple random sample method was followed, and their number was (100) individuals. The questionnaire tool was used as a study tool, and it was distributed electronically to the study sample. (91) valid questionnaires were retrieved for analysis. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which was the level of availability of the causes and repercussions of overlapping powers in the management of power generation plants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a response degree (high), and the absence of statistically significant differences regarding the causes and repercussions of overlapping powers in the management of power generation plants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at a significance level of (0.05), attributed to the study variables represented by (gender - qualification - experience). The study recommended many recommendations. The most important of these is the need to define the powers and responsibilities of all power plant managers, and the need to define the role of everyone within the power plant.
