The Role of Green Human Resource Management in Enhancing the Principles of Sustainable Development among Employees at STC

This study sought to examine the reality of green human resource management (GHRM) at the Saudi Telecom Company (STC), identify employees' awareness of sustainable development principles, and understand the relationship between green human resource practices and the promotion of these principles from the employee's perspective. The study adopted a descriptive approach, with 150 STC employees participating. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The results showed that the level of implementation of green human resource management was high, with an average of 4.148, representing a percentage of 82.96%. The results also showed that employees expressed strong agreement with the principles of sustainable development, with an average of 4.133 and a percentage of 82.66%. The results confirmed the significant impact of green human resource management, particularly in the dimensions of green recruitment and green performance evaluation, on supporting sustainable development principles. In this context, the study recommended the need to enhance green recruitment practices within the company by adopting precise criteria for selecting candidates, focusing on their commitment to environmental values and sustainable practices. This contributes to promoting a culture of sustainability within the workplace. In light of these findings, the study recommended enhancing green recruitment strategies in the company by adopting clear selection criteria that focus on candidates with strong environmental values and sustainability.
