The impact of the use of blockchain technology on the performance of financial management and planning and Budget Management in the Saudi Ministry of Health " predictive study"

This study aimed to predict the impact of applying blockchain technology on the performance of financial and administrative transactions in the financial management and planning and budget management in the Saudi Ministry of Health and its role in improving the quality of performance of these departments by enhancing security and transparency, as well as increasing performance in operational processes and the accuracy of financial data by eliminating intermediaries, in addition to adding an element of security by avoiding fraud operations while allowing data sharing in real time between various relevant departments in a reliable and traceable manner. The descriptive analytical approach was used, and the study population represented the category of workers in the financial management and planning and budget management in the Saudi Ministry of Health. The study sample was (60) individuals from workers in the same field as a control sample in the study. The questionnaire was relied upon as a study tool. The results of the study concluded that there is a statistically significant impact of adopting blockchain technology with its features represented in (security and transparency, operational efficiency, accuracy of financial data) in every dimension of its application, which can achieve the best financial performance for the financial management and planning and budget management in the Ministry of Health, in financial transactions. The study recommended paying attention to applying blockchain technology. Blockchains are being used in providing financial services and transactions at the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 digital transformation.
