The impact of leadership styles on achieving strategic goals - Saudi Maritime Transport Company in Jeddah

This study aimed to identify the prevailing leadership styles in the Saudi Maritime Transport Company in Jeddah Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve these objectives, the descriptive approach was used in preparing a questionnaire distributed to a sample of (150) administrators and employees from the upper, middle and operational levels of management working at the Saudi Maritime Transport Company. (100) questionnaires were retrieved, i.e. a recovery rate of 67%. After conducting the necessary statistical analysis and testing the hypotheses using the descriptive approach, the study reached the following results: There is a statistically significant impact of leadership styles on the strategic objectives of organizational change at the Saudi Maritime Transport Company in Jeddah Governorate. Among the most important recommendations reached by the study: The necessity of benefiting from the advantages of the autocratic leadership style in maintaining work procedures and addressing the negative effects of the free leadership style in the work environment. Future proposals: The necessity of working to strengthen the democratic style due to its clear role in supporting and developing administrative performance and increasing its efficiency.
